DJ Max Portable 3

Are you ready for the revolution? If not, hit the jump for more information.

One of my most anticipated and hyped for game, DJ Max Portable 3, is coming out October 14th. It looks pretty interesting with its new “remixing” system. As with Pentavision standards, they show next to nothing about the game until a month before release. And what a show it is!

The game comes in three flavors: the limited edition, the standard UMD edition, and the downloadable edition. The limited edition will come with many many goodies, like an art book and a soundtrack, at the cost of your wallet, which will have a big gaping hole in it once you pre-order this thing. Only 1000 of the limited edition copies will be made and sold, so when Pentavision says “limited edition”, they really do mean limited.

The standard UMD version will be in short supply when the game hits the shelves. If you’re like me and you don’t have $110 USD to throw around, this is probably your best option.

And finally, the downloadable edition will be available on the PlayStation Network on October 19th. It would probably require a huge Memory Stick, and you’re not getting a box, so, meh.

That’s all I have to say about DMP3. It’s going to be awesome, I just know it. Pentavision seems like the kind of company that wouldn’t screw their fans over, so it’s going to be interesting what the final product will look like. Until next time.

Remixing system? Well, all I can say is that I’m absolutely garbage at any rhythm game that ACTUALLY requires skill, e.g, anything that requires you to let go of held notes when they end. Those long ones. Yeah. I actually can’t do anything more than 4 buttons when I think about it. My Stepmania never deviates from 4.
